The communication between school and parent is vital in reinforcing to students that the school and you, the parent, are a team with the same goal; to support children in reaching their potential.

As such, if you email or call the school with a request for communication, we will always endeavour to respond within 24 hours.

In addition, as society becomes increasingly dependent on technology, schools are investing in technological means of communication. At Rastrick High School, we use the following systems to support our communication with you:

We use ParentMail and email to send most forms of communication to parents including letters, trip information, permission forms, alerts and reports. Parents/Carers are able to keep track of all school messages that have been sent, referring back to them at any time. The system also allows us to send a text message for important messages such as bad weather alerts.

ClassCharts allows Parents/Carers to view their child’s progress over the course of a school day, in real-time. The simple-to-use app (for iPhone and Android) can be downloaded to enable quick access to your child’s behaviour, view attendance records, access their weekly timetable, view assigned homework tasks, track scheduled detentions, and achievement points and view announcements from their school.

To create your ClassCharts account, you will need to complete the fields shown below.

Your personal Email address

  • Click “I don’t have an account yet”
  • Enter the “Access code” (This will have been supplied to you in the ClassCharts email already sent to you)
  • Enter your name
  • Enter a password of your choosing
  • Retype your chosen password
  • Click “Log In”

Please make sure to keep your ClassCharts account information in a safe place as you will need it again.

Forgotten access code

If you have forgotten or have not received your access code, then please contact the school via the main school number and we can assist you further.

Please note that we are only able to provide you with an access code and are not able to help with forgotten passwords or issues accessing the ClassCharts website.
