Year 7 science focuses on introducing key scientific concepts which form the foundation of the students’ knowledge and understanding. Year 7 and 8 science is all about exploring the natural world along with devising and conducting experiments to develop a better understanding of the phenomena we experience.

Year 9 is the final year of KS3 for the students and will continue to develop the themes and skills introducing prior in years 7 and 8. In year 9 students will take an in depth look at some of the most fundamental aspects of biology, chemistry and physics which will form the foundation of those topics found in KS4.
The penultimate unit of work for year 9 is a recap project of everything introduced and developed throughout KS3. This topic allows students to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and skills across the 9 themes they have worked on.
The final unit of work for year 9 prepares students for KS4. This topic encourages students to apply the skills relating to experiments they have developed throughout KS3 to some of the required practicals found at KS4.
