Emma’s Mito Mission Bun Sale

Our Year 8 Student Leaders have been busy!

They have been working with a local charity, ‘Emma’s Mito Mission’ to raise money for research into Mitochondrial Disease. Emma lived locally and sadly died last year after complications relating to the disease.

In true Rastrick High School tradition the Student Leaders decided that as everyone loves cakes, biscuits and all other such goodies, they would hold a bun sale to help raise money for the charity.

The sale was held on Thursday 25th October in the Atrium.  We were delighted to welcome Emma’s mum and sister into school to represent the charity – and of course to sample the goods on offer! A grand total of £331 was raised.

Thank you to everyone who was involved.
